Sunday Church services at Lincoln House Care home

Update: July 2010
Lincoln House, Swanton Morley, is a Residential Care Home for the elderly with a nursing wing and assisted bungalows for the retired. Joan Fuller, Ruth’s mother, who is still a member of Wellspring Family Church, has been a resident there for 4 years and now Rene Nelson has moved in. Most of the residents are unable to get out attending a church service, so for 4 years a team have been taking the Good News of Jesus into the home in the form of an informal worship service on the last Sunday afternoon of each month. It is much appreciated and well attended. We now have many friends among the residents and their relatives, who are excited to be part of what God is doing in these days and choose their favourite hymns, etc. The staff are very supportive and Kim, the social organizer, adjusts her hours to join us each month. The services are organized by WFC, but volunteers from other churches regularly help us. Paulette is now an official Volunteer and helps with the shop trolley on a Monday. Priscilla and Ruth, and now all Rene’s friends, are regular visitors, so our involvement is ongoing. If you would like to be involved yourself, or know more, please contact Ruth Sansom.
